Babyview would like to congratulate Stan an Erika, the winners of our October Babyview of the month contest!
Congratulations to Stan an Erika, our October BabyView of the Month contest winners! Celebrating all the joys of life. Rejoicing in blessings from above. Living life to the fullest. Lisa Baker, 2007 The Tadeja family from Oshawa will continue their “zone” defense and parenting game plan as they welcome their 4th baby this December, and their hopes will be that this Christmas “surprise” will even the playing field of the household to two girls and two boys! Parents Stan and Erika consider parenting a privilege and have committed to being a Godly example to their children by loving, teaching and guiding them into the best people they can be. The older two siblings, Gabrielle (6) and Java (4) have been overheard guessing this baby’s gender and feel it’s completely unfair to make them wait until the baby arrives to find out whether or not they will have another sister or brother! The youngest Chantelle (1.5) finds simple pleasure in kissing mommy’s growing belly and “tickling” the baby by pressing on mommy’s belly button! This new baby (whose name will remain another surprise) is already a special member of the Tadeja Crew. Both Canadian and Phillipino extended families have shown unconditional family love, support, prayers and obviously dedicated voting to be selected this month’s winner! From composing “love songs” for the new baby, participating with name suggestions, providing practical help with daily family life and being there through the challenges and victories of this pregnancy, this extended family has definitely proven that a new baby is a family affair! Funny though, not so many volunteers to change diapers! The Tadeja’s were returning “family” to the BabyView office, as they experienced this phenomenal peek with their 3rd child. It was a must to return again and watch their miracle living, drinking, resting, peeking, stretching and even smiling. The combination of the tranquil and supportive atmosphere the staff of BabyView created and the repeated home enjoyment of the CD/DVD keepsakes, this was another memorable aspect of this pregnancy that has sparked even more excitement to personally meet and welcome their new baby. Stan an Erika desire for their children “to be people of greatness through their lives, words and deeds. May they live a legacy that others will be drawn to imitate, inherit and strive to achieve.” Inspired by the author Og Mandino, a summary of Stan and Erika’s aspirations for all of their children are: **Count your blessings – have a heart of gratitude recognizing that giving is better than receiving, claim and appreciation, understanding and declaration of the Lord’s sacrifice and faithfulness. **Celebrate your uniqueness – live a life of significance, be confident yet humble, strive to be a positive example that would draw others toward your inner beauties and Faith. **Go the extra mile in relationships/work – be compassionate and loving, seek opportunities to serve, befriend the lonely and show love to the unlovable. * *Use the power of choice wisely – be accountable, commit with conviction to absolute Truths, always seek righteous counsel.” The Tadeja’s would like to thank all friends and family who participated and voted to have “Baby Tadeja” recognized as this month’s BabyView baby of the Month. They appreciate your support and everyone will just have to wait until this Christmas “surprise” arrives to find out the rest of the story! “From the fullness of His grace e have all received one blessing after another” John 1:16
That had to be one of the coolest things I've ever done.
I just wish Mark could have been there! There really is a real, live, actual baby in my belly!! The tech, Cheryl, was fabulous and the atmosphere was so relaxing. I have to say I was a bit nervous at first - I kept thinking "What if something is wrong?" (because that's just the person I am). Anyway, I made sure to eat a banana before I left for the appointment so that Squirt would be sure to move around. I think maybe I shouldn't have done so. For the first half of the scan, Cheryl was playing "catch me" with Squirt. He/she started head down, then went head up, then sideways, then head up, then hid behind my belly button... all over. Cheryl kept saying, "Wow, this is an active baby!" As well, Squirt loves to have his/her hand up by his/her face - almost covering the eyes completely so all we could see was a button nose hiding under the arm. It looked like Squirt was rubbing his/her eyes as if sleepy. At one point when Squirt finally calmed down a bit, he/she seemed to doze and used the placenta as a pillow. Cheryl made the comment that the baby is a real snuggler. We got some pretty good shots of the baby's face and even saw it open it's little fist and counted fingers. Seems the baby is right handed, too - as it was always the right hand up by its face and rubbing its eyes. What I couldn't get over was how much Squirt already looks like a newborn. I was expecting something skinnier, I guess. But Squirt has big fat cheeks! Even Cheryl couldn't get over how big this baby's cheeks are already. She said, "You sure you're only 27 weeks, cuz this kid is far from starving!"
Mom and Dad were so pleased. They had no idea what to expect and were so impressed by how well they could see the baby. Mom swears it looks like Mark. I see me and The Boy, so I don't know. Patti and Mark Sheppard came for their BabyView ultrasound in October and were participants in our BabyView of the Month contest.
