Read what some of our patients think of their experience at BabyView!!!

Thanks again to you for the beautiful memories and the wonderfully relaxing, personal atmosphere you provide at Babyview. We had such a blast and really regret NOT having looked into this for our 1st son. We will DEFINITELY be back if we decide to go one more round!!
Thanks again for everything...................Mandy Coleman

We can't begin to thank you enough for our 3D ultrasound at BabyView. We have been telling all our friends and family about your services and the warm way with which you treated us. It was such a gift to be able to see our son before we officially meet him - and it has made us feel that much closer to him. On the drive home we made the decision to come to BabyView for any children the future may have in store for us. It was the perfect way to meet our little creation and the most wonderful way to find out his sex. I'm sure neither of us will ever forget the moment that Cheryl said, "Congratulations, you have a son!"A huge thank you from the bottom of our hearts.........Tina and Scott Robb

I really enjoyed the 3D ultrasound experience, it was amazing.. I will definitely be coming back when I am expecting another child........Ashley Zwetsloot

Thanks for the awesome experience with the 3D ultrasound........Erika Sharer

Thank you for a wonderful experience! I have recommended you to several people :)........Laura Little

It was amazing to get a glimpse of the baby that I would very soon hold in my arms and wonderful to put a face to the movement in my belly!.............Heather McInnes

Our visit to Babyview was one of the highlights of my pregnancy. I wanted to especially thank you for taking extra time with us during our visit to make sure we had great images of our little girl. At first her hand was in front of her face, but after some moving around, she finally showed her face. We even got to see her smile and suck her thumb! It was amazing to see such detailed images, and I was so glad to have the DVD so that we could share our experience with friends and family (which we did plenty of times!) Thank you so much for your fantastic and professional service!.............Robin D

We are so very thankful to you for our awesome BabyView experience last Thursday. Your kindness, warm embrace and most of all your knowledge was truly appreciated as we watched our baby in utero. The experience was truly phenomenal and I recommend that all parents take advantage of this experience with at least one baby. Standard 2D ultrasounds are nothing compared to the beautiful 3D pictures and the memorable DVD that your company provides.

Both sets of grandparents were in such "awe" of today's technology and were so very proud to see their grandson floating across the screen.

We are very happy that we decided to contact you and will cherish this once in a lifetime experience.
Thank you again for providing us with this memorable experience!..........Carrie and Mike Burns

I wish to thank you for the wonderful experience we had. It was amazing to see what Robbie looked like before he was born, and even more amazing to see how much he looked like he did in his 3D pictures. I have recommended your services to many people I know that are having babies right now. Again thank you for everything..................Jennifer, Jason, and Robbie.

The "pretty in pink" scoop on our ultrasound at BabyView

Oh I woke up early this morning because I am so excited to tell you all about our ultrasound yesterday! Prepare yourself – this is going to be a gush fest!
Our ultrasound was just an amazing experience! I had seen a lot of 3D u/s pictures but I had never prepared myself for the power of it. Technology never ceases to amaze me. Our u/s tech was absolutely phenomenal and obstetrical ultrasounds are her passions and that clearly shone through.

I actually got to sit on the ultrasound bed with GS and we held hands through it. That was really neat for me because it’s like we joined our energies; spiritual, emotional and physical. B sat right over by our tech and the screen. GS and I had a plasma on the wall to watch along. The first image that we saw was a beautiful silhouette of our baby and I was just shocked at the clarity of the profile!
Then our tech switched to 4D and I instantly started crying – like a happy sobbing type of cry but I didn’t even know that I was doing it because I was so transfixed by our babies image. GS was in the same shape from my reaction and B was just totally grinning! Our tech said: “S – already you have just made my day.”

Our tech knew that we wanted to know the sex in a bad way so she got right down to business. It only took her two seconds to find what she was looking for and she said: ”Congratulations, you have a DAUGTHER!” It was like time stood still for me for a moment while I processed it. A daughter?!?!!? Then the laughing and crying started! B was like: “Oh I can totally see the lines!!!!!!” while pointing at the screen. Ahhh – it was another one of those moments for me, one that I will never forget and I am actually having a hard time putting it into words but to sum it up that ultrasound room just glowed with so much love, happiness, friendship and.......pink! I see the world now through pink coloured glasses!
Our ultrasound lasted for 30 minutes and there was loads of:
“awwww”’s
“Look at her mouth!“
“Look at her feet”
“This is so awesome!”
“She has your nose!”
And lots of happy tears. I cannot wait to meet her and hold her and cover her with kisses. When we were finished, we headed in the waiting room while our tech prepared our DVD and CD. GS looked so happy for us and we all had a group hug to celebrate! I pulled out my cell and dialed my mom and we all huddled around it. I put it in speaker phone so everyone could hear. When Mom answered she sounded so excited and anxious to hear. I told her; “Mom we are going to have a little girl!” and she went nutz! She was cheering and yelling and it was THE BEST reaction! The people that she was with were cheering and I am sure that all of Montreal heard her happiness as she was standing on one of Quebec’s mountains. (She was on a business trip) It was such a wonderful experience for Brad and I to hear her so happy. She will be her very first granddaughter!

Winners of our September Babyview of the month contest!

Congratulations to Cheryl and Chris Pinder, our September BabyView of the Month contest winners!

Cheryl and Chris are the happy parents-to-be of little baby boy Pinder, the second child for this blessed couple. Along with mommy and daddy, baby Pinder has a big brother, Josh, and a pet dog, Bailey, eagerly awaiting his arrival!

Due to arrive mid-December, Baby Pinder will be greeted with lots of hugs and kisses from his excited older brother who early on in the pregnancy, dubbed him with the names “Tarzan” and “Pumpkin Pie”! Daddy likes to call the baby ‘Little Buddy” and “Monkey” and although Cheryl and Chris have not yet chosen the baby’s first name, they have decided his middle name will be Christopher- after his daddy. Whatever his first name may be, we are sure you will all have fun tossing about names and ideas!

This lucky little baby has a lot of very excited family members eagerly awaiting his arrival. The proud Grandparents include Papa Doug and Grandma Edie as well as Grandma Pauline. Watching from heaven is Papa Hal, baby Pinder’s special guardian angel. The happy Aunts and Uncles are Dawn, Alana, and Lisa; Bob, Ted, and Tony. And, not only is baby Pinder lucky enough to have his wonderful big brother, but he has lots of little cousins to play with too!

After seeing their baby in 3D at BabyView, Cheryl and Chris were in “awe” over the amount of detail and movement they experienced while watching their little miracle. So much so, that they are now even more eager to meet their little blessing! Let’s hope the time passes quickly! Both are looking forward to experiencing life through the eyes of their unborn child, along with having fun, for them, it keeps things in perspective and allow them to forget about the mundane stresses of day to day life. Their hopes and dreams for both boys include living their lives to the fullest, experiencing all they can, and that they always remember to give thanks to the Lord for his many wonderful blessings.

Cheryl and Chris, once again congratulations from the staff here at BabyView and we wish you all the best luck.

Building Your Birth Team

Birth Partner
You couldn't imagine experiencing pregnancy without this person. Your partner, your mother or your best friend. It's that special person you can count on to give you the support you need throughout your pregnancy, labour, delivery and after your baby arrives.
Prenatal Educators
Your prenatal educator is anyone who provides you with support or advice about your pregnancy (e.g. your Lamaze coach or a parenting instructor). They will answer your questions and provide you with the information and support you need. They will focus on pregnancy, birth and early parenting. Most importantly, they will be able to tell you about the hospitals and maternity services available in your region.
Birth Doulas
Your doula will give you non-medical prenatal, childbirth and postpartum support. Sometimes referred to as a birth assistant, she is trained to provide emotional and physical support during your labour. Your doula may use massage, aromatherapy and positioning suggestions to help you during labour.
Midwives
Your midwife is an expert in women's health care - specifically prenatal care. She will help to ensure you have a healthy pregnancy and natural birth experience. She will be present during childbirth, and while she is licensed to prescribe certain drugs and order required tests during your pregnancy, she will not intervene with any medication unless necessary.
If you choose to have a doula or midwife as part of your team, be sure to ask her a few questions about her training, certification, the number of births' she's attended and her philosophies on labour.
Maternal/Newborn Nurse
Your nurse is a trained medical professional and, just like doctors, specializes in certain areas of care. So expect to receive case from a variety of nurses before and after your baby is born,. Throughout your pregnancy a nurse practitioner may also be available to you. She will offer you prenatal care and advice similar to a physician. Once your labour starts and you are admitted to the hospital, you will meet your labour and delivery nurse. Ask her questions. Be honest about your fears and look to her for support throughout your labour - she's there to help. After your baby is born, you will meet your nurse lactation consultant who will provide breast-feeding help and support to you and your baby. Finally, you will meet your public health nurse. She will provide you with continued follow-up care, advice and support after you leave the hospital. With everything else you'll be thinking about, you can rest easy knowing you have your very own team of experts to help support you during your first introduction to your wonderful new baby.
Family Physicians
Your family physician may provide some prenatal care. But fewer family doctors are delivering babies than in the past. After week 32 doctors may transfer you to another family physician, obstetrician or midwife for your duration of your pregnancy and delivery.
Obstetrician-Gynaecologists
Not every obstetrician-gynaecologist (Ob-Gyn) provides prenatal care. But more Ob-Gyns are delivering Canadian babies than ever before. If your pregnancy is deemed high risk (women with diabetes, develop preeclampsia or women expecting twins or multiple births), expect an Ob-Gyn at your delivery. If your scheduled for a Cesarean, the same applies.
