Full Product Description
This recall involves phil&teds “sport v2″ and “classic v1″ strollers, which are foldable and have 3 wheels.
- Sport v2 strollers have “SPv2″ printed on the wrist safety strap attached to the stroller handle. They can be identified by serial numbers between 0308/0001 and 0510/0840.
- Classic v1 strollers have “E3C” printed on the wrist safety strap attached to the stroller handle. They can be identified by serial numbers between 0308/0001 and 0510/0906.
This recall does not affect sport v1, classic v2, dash, hammerhead, explorer or vibe inline buggies.
Hazard Identified
The stroller’s hinge mechanism poses a potential fingertip amputation and laceration hazard to the child or adult when the consumer is folding and unfolding the stroller.
phil&teds has received 3 reports in the United States of parents catching their fingers in the main hinge of their strollers. Worldwide, there have been an additional 6 reports of incidents.
Neither Health Canada nor phil&teds has received any reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

Corrective Action
Consumers should use caution when opening or closing the stroller. Consumers are instructed to contact phil&teds to receive a free hinge cover.

Number Sold
Approximately 7,251 of the recalled strollers were sold at specialty children’s stores and online in Canada.
