Oshawa - The Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is the unofficial start of the Christmas season in the City of Oshawa. Join us at Memorial Park at 6:45 pm on November 17th for a free family event. Santa’s Parade of Lights runs from the Oshawa Centre on November 19th starting at 6pm.
Pickering- Santa Clause Parade, Saturday November 12 at 10am. The theme this year is An Old Fashioned Christmas. Parade route: Glenanna Road, between Dixie Road and Pickering Parkway.
Pickering Bicentennial Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, December 2nd from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the Esplanade Park, Pickering Civic.Free family event including the annual Christmas tree lighting, a visit from Santa, holiday crafts, rides, fireworks, BBQ, hot chocolate and live entertainment for both children and adults. Food donations for St. Paul?s Food Bank will be accepted at this event.
Scugog (Port Perry)- Santa Clause Parade Saturday, November 26th at 5p.m. downtown Port Perry. The parade will travel along Reach Street, to Simcoe Street (turn right), south to Queen Street, (turn left), then along Queen Street to end at Water Street.
Port Perry Candle Walk and Tree Lighting Extravaganza: Experience the magic of the season. Meet Santa and his live reindeer! Enjoy a candlelit procession down Queen Street starting from Reflection Park to Palmer Park. Candles will be sold in Reflection Park starting at 7:00 p.m. along with a Warm Hands Warm Heart Tree for the United Way. Scarves, hats, and Mitts will be on the tree to purchase with all proceeds going to your United Way to support your local community. November 18th at 7pm downtown Port Perry.
Toronto Sunday November 20th at 12:30pm. The 107th Toronto Santa Claus Parade (this is the BIG one!) A long-running family tradition! The parade begins at Bloor and Christie, goes along Bloor to University, University down to Wellington, and ends at Front and Jarvis.
