Shannon writes; “My love for photography started in high school when I was introduced to Henri Cartier-Bresson in an art history course and fell in love with his work. It inspired me to take a photography class where it did not take me long to realize I wanted to pursue photography as my career.  I love what I do because I can give a family an image that is timeless and will remind them of the beauty in their everyday life.  I love seeing the look in a parent’s eye when laughing, playing and spending time with their newborn, it is a moment I get to be proud of to be a part of because of my job.  Equally as beautiful is an expecting mom awaiting her first born or additional bundle to the family, it is a very intimate type of shoot when working with maternity and brings me a lot of joy to be a part of.  I capture as many natural moments as possible and when posing I use the client’s natural body language to keep them comfortable as well as keeping shoot as natural as possible.”
